Your wedding day is your very special day and, as such, you’re entitled to spend as much time and money on yourself as you can. The bride is effectively the centerpiece of a wedding – it’s her that people will be looking at the most, she’ll show up in most of the pictures and whatever she’s wearing is what people will be commenting on. The groom’s clothes can be original up to a point, but they’ll never be as extravagant and as important as the wedding gown.
But don’t fall into the temptation of focusing exclusively on the gown. Many brides do this and then, hours before the wedding, have to rush to find wedding earrings, proper shoes and other accessories. Remember that a wedding gown is more than just the dress; it’s an ensemble of everything that you’ll be wearing, along with yourself and the way you style your hair. So remember that everything needs to be in harmony and one thing shouldn’t overpower the other. It’s easy to let your hairdresser get carried away because it’s such a special day, and the dressmaker will want to make his or her presence felt the most as well, but a good editing eye will go a long way in making you look beautiful.
